| Karma, an uptight corporate climber and assistant editor at Bangles fashion magazine, becomes a poet after losing her job and moving in with her loathed half-sister, Callie, an eccentric, new-age therapist with a parade of exotic boyfriends. Karma slowly begins to find herself as she discovers the true nature of family, friendship and love in this happily ever after, feel-good, fairy tale. A very talented cast of colorful characters starring Karen Lynn Gorney (co-star Saturday Night Fever) as Karma's shopaholic sixties "it" girl mother, Joe Grifasi as Karma's sleazy boss Prighorn, Carol Lee Sirugo as Karma, Roland Sands as Karma's father's lover Rajah the pop sitarist, and Jill Wisoff as Callie, who also directs (her first feature comedy). Don't miss, in the role of Vincent, newcomer Rahad Coulter-Stevenson as he lights up the screen as Karma's puppet wielding love interest. This film is lots of fun, you'll leave singing "Pass The Puppet"! |
