The film recounts the true story of a Yanomamo shaman and the supernatural struggle for the survival of his people. It is the result of a collaboration of storytellers and filmmakers from Venezuela, Belize, Canada, and the United States. Told from their perspective, using an almost entirely indigenous non-professional, cast, the film traces the history of several communities as they struggle with the impact of new ideas on their lives and culture. |
